The Community-Led Suicide Prevention (CLSP) Initiative focuses on raising awareness, increasing helping skills, and access to resources in the communities of New Milford and Ridgefield. Each community has it’s own coalition with membership from different sectors who are invested in promoting health and wellbeing across the lifespan.

These Coalitions:

• Provide local partners with skills and information necessary to achieve success in adopting or expanding suicide prevention efforts

• Assist in developing strategic plans and implementing strategies for effective suicide prevention and postvention

• Encourage collaboration among local suicide prevention partners in the interest of mentorship and support

• Run mental health promoting and suicide prevention campaigns and events in the community
